The secret behind the Mini 2000 is the clear high viscous dampening fluid and its jewel bearing pivot making it very stable, yet accurate to within one degree. The light source is phosphorescent and will last for years and recharges easily with a flash light or other light source. The armoring serves to protect the compass from shock and the entire unit is completely waterproof and covered by a one-year limited warranty. Made in France.
